Certification Registration Process

The ABI Certifications™ (American-Based International Certifications) certification registration process is designed to ensure consistent, impartial, and structured evaluation of professional competence in accordance with defined certification requirements.

Certification Process Overview

1 Enrollment
Candidates apply for certification through ABI Certifications™ or an ABI Certifications™–Accredited Training Center (ATC), where applicable.

2 Training & Preparation
Candidates prepare for the certification through an ABI Certifications™–Accredited Training Center (ATC) or through online self-paced study using approved training materials, in accordance with the applicable certification program framework.

3 Assessment and Evaluation
Candidates undergo assessment and evaluation based on defined certification criteria, which may include examinations, practical assessments, or a review of documented evidence.

4 Certification Review and Decision
Assessment results are reviewed by ABI Certifications™ to ensure compliance with certification requirements prior to certification decision.

5 Certificate Issuance
Upon successful review and approval, certification is issued by ABI Certifications™.

6 Certification Record Registration
Issued certifications are registered within the ABI Certifications™ centralized certification records system for verification and reference.

7 Certification Validity & Renewal

ABI Certifications™ certifications are generally valid for four (4) years from the date of issuance.

Certification renewal/recertification applications may be processed through the concerned ABI Certifications™ Authorized Training Center (ATC) or directly through ABI Certifications™.

Renewal eligibility may require a minimum of two (2) years of relevant professional experience in the applicable certification field.

Renewal requirements may include continued professional practice, PDUs/CPD activities, refresher training, or reassessment/examination as applicable.

Renewed certifications are updated within the ABI Certifications™ centralized certification records system.

Certification Governance

Certification decisions, certificate issuance, and certification record management are performed exclusively by ABI Certifications™. Training delivery and assessment activities do not influence certification decisions.

Certification requirements, assessment methods, and documentation criteria may vary by certification program and are applied in accordance with defined program-specific certification frameworks.

All certifications are issued exclusively by ABI Certifications™ in accordance with applicable certification and assessment requirements.

Code of Ethics – ABI Certifications™

ABI Certifications™ (American-Based International Certifications) is committed to promoting professional integrity, ethical conduct, competence, confidentiality, impartiality, and responsible professional practices across all applicable certification programs and certification-related activities.

This Code of Ethics applies to candidates, certificate holders, Authorized Training Centers (ATCs), trainers, assessors, examination personnel, and associated individuals involved in applicable ABI Certifications™ certification activities.

Candidates, certificate holders, Authorized Training Centers (ATCs), trainers, assessors, and associated personnel are expected to:

• Act honestly, ethically, responsibly, and professionally in all certification-related and professional activities.

• Maintain integrity, fairness, impartiality, confidentiality, and professional responsibility in certification activities, training delivery, assessment activities, and associated professional conduct.

• Provide accurate, truthful, valid, and complete information during certification, assessment, examination, renewal, verification, training, and related certification activities.

• Perform professional duties only within their applicable area of competence, qualifications, certifications, training, and professional experience.

• Respect confidentiality of examination materials, assessment information, certification records, employer information, client information, candidate information, and applicable professional data.

• Avoid fraudulent, deceptive, misleading, dishonest, unethical, or inappropriate conduct that may negatively affect professional credibility, examination integrity, certification integrity, public confidence, or professional trust.

• Avoid cheating, impersonation, falsification of records, unauthorized assistance, examination misconduct, or unauthorized disclosure of examination or certification-related materials.

• Avoid misuse, falsification, unauthorized modification, misleading representation, or unauthorized use of ABI Certifications™ certifications, logos, credentials, certification status, policies, digital verification systems, or associated certification materials.

• Support compliance with applicable laws, regulations, standards, safety requirements, certification requirements, and professional responsibilities relevant to their applicable professional field and certification activities.

• Maintain professional behavior that supports public trust, professional credibility, ethical training practices, responsible certification activities, examination integrity, and industry confidence.

Failure to comply with applicable ethical requirements, professional conduct expectations, examination integrity requirements, certification requirements, or applicable ABI Certifications™ policies may result in examination invalidation, suspension, rejection, revocation of certification, restriction, suspension, or termination of ATC authorization status, or other applicable actions as determined by ABI Certifications™ in accordance with applicable certification policies and procedures.

ABI Certifications™ reserves the right to update applicable policies, certification requirements, ethical requirements, examination integrity requirements, and certification governance procedures where necessary.

Professional Ethics, Impartiality & Examination Integrity Policy – ABI Certifications™

ABI Certifications™ (American-Based International Certifications) is committed to maintaining impartial certification practices, examination integrity, confidentiality, fair evaluation processes, and responsible certification governance in accordance with defined certification requirements and applicable certification program frameworks.

This policy applies to candidates, certificate holders, Authorized Training Centers (ATCs), trainers, assessors, examination personnel, and associated individuals involved in applicable certification-related activities.

Certification decisions are conducted independently and are not influenced by training delivery, coaching, candidate preparation activities, commercial interests, employment considerations, external parties, or other unauthorized influences.

Participation in training activities, preparatory programs, workshops, coaching sessions, or Authorized Training Center (ATC) activities does not guarantee certification approval, examination success, employment opportunities, or issuance of certification credentials.

ABI Certifications™ applies examination integrity, candidate verification, and assessment control measures designed to support fair assessment conditions, candidate identity verification, confidentiality, impartial evaluation, and integrity of certification processes.

Any form of examination misconduct, cheating, impersonation, falsification of information, unauthorized assistance, unethical conduct, misleading representation, misuse of certification credentials, violation of examination rules, or violation of applicable certification requirements may result in examination invalidation, suspension, rejection, revocation of certification, restriction, suspension, or termination of ATC authorization status, or other applicable actions as determined by ABI Certifications™.

Candidates, certificate holders, Authorized Training Centers (ATCs), trainers, assessors, examination personnel, and associated individuals are expected to comply with applicable certification requirements, examination rules, ethical obligations, professional conduct expectations, confidentiality requirements, and applicable ABI Certifications™ policies and procedures.

Complaints, appeals, examination concerns, ethical concerns, or certification-related matters may be submitted to ABI Certifications™ for review in accordance with applicable certification governance and administrative procedures.
